Military Documents

The following gallery contains images of documents that have been accumulated as a result of research into those family members who served in the forces in some capacity or another. We have two people for whom we have quite a lot of information and their stories can be found in the Text Records.

Edward Parry was the rear gunner in a Lancaster bomber and lost his life over Germany shortly after being awarded a Distinguished Flying Medal in 1942. Thomas Snape lost his life when the plane in which he was flying crash landed in England after a test flight during work on ground breaking electronic work to disrupt German signals.
